Getting to Gregynog

Routes From The South
From Gatwick, shuttle to Victoria, underground to Euston, train to Birmingham then Newtown.
From Heathrow, either half hour shuttle to Reading, train to Birmingham OR underground to Euston, train to Birmingham, then Newtown.
The London route is often faster (Euston to Newtown takes approximately four hours); the Reading route requires fewer changes of train.

(a) By car
For those participants travelling by car the grounds of Gregynog Hall are entered through a gateway which is on the main road through the tiny village of Tregynon. Parking is available at the Hall. Local area maps can be obtained from Mobile phone reception in the area is patchy.
(b) By train
There will be a minibus to transfer participants between Newtown Station and Gregynog Hall, leaving Newtown at around 14.04 on Friday 15 May, and returning to connect with the train that departs at around 14.40 on Sunday 17 May. Please let us know in advance if you wish to use this service. At other times, taxis are available at Newtown for the journey to Gregynog which is a distance of approximately 6 miles.
(c) By air
The nearest airport is Birmingham International Airport. Car hire is available at the airport and it is about a 2 h drive to Gregynog. Otherwise take the train from Birmingham International with no changes to Newtown (Arr. ~14.04), and on the Sunday we will take you to the train at Newtown Station (~14.40 – arr. Birmingham International ~17.00). We will endeavour to pick up delegates arriving at Manchester Airport.
